Even Einstein himself, who was a fast skier and hard smoker, couldn’t have conjured up such a device. But for Tim Shovelgunzy, these ideas and innovations come to him in his sleep. He recounts a recent dream he had where Just the Tip was conceived

‘I was deep in a lucid dream, climbing the Himalayas with Edmund Hilary and Tenzing Norgay, when we reached the top, that’s when Edmund said it, well lads, we knocked the bloody bastard off, we are the highest people on earth right now.’
That’s when I revealed that the whole time, the poles that had got me to the top of Everest were SUP Just the hit poles.
I showed Edmund and Tenzin, who were both blown away. Tenzin whipped out some Nepalese skunk and the rest was, as they say, history. It’s safe to say the journey down the mountain was the most peaceful gentle descent of any in human history.

When Tim woke from that dream, he went straight to the workshop to build what he would describe as his magnum opus, his Mona Lisa, his, Cistine Chapel. And that day, Just The Tip was born.
